Heat exchanger for air cooling processes

Background

A routine visit to a chemical plant which we have provided a process air heat exchanger...

The plant got a survey of energy systems that Krashin-Shalev conducts every few years to draw conclusions and improve our products where necessary. As part of our visit to the factory, we asked the maintenance manager to show us the heat exchanger for air cooling processes. Because this heat exchanger works flawlessly over 5 years, never required any maintenance or even gasket replacement - the maintenance manager couldn't even tell us where the heat exchanger was located.

The objective

Design and supply of an air-to-water heat exchanger for cooling processes by the "chiller" water, which we were requested for during our periodic visit to the factory.

The challenge

Building a heat exchanger with a proper engineering design and with appropriate materials, that will avoid the need for maintenance over many years.

The Project’s Solution

Building a heat exchanger with a proper engineering design and with appropriate materials, that will avoid the need for maintenance over many years.

The outcome

As part of our visit to a chemical plant for the inspection of a heat exchanger that we provided to the plant five years earlier. We contacted the maintenance manager and asked him to show us the heat exchanger. He didn't even know where it was - since this heat exchanger never required any maintenance or replacement of gaskets and has been working flawlessly for over 5 years.
